The CPJ20 is a widely used, entry-level network cable tester. It is highly popular among DIYers and IT beginners for verifying the basic integrity of Ethernet and telephone cables.
- Supported Cables: RJ45 (Ethernet), RJ12, and RJ11 (Telephone). Tests UTP, STP, and FTP cables.
- Testing Mechanism: Consists of a main master unit and a detachable remote unit.
- Power Source: Requires a standard 6F22 9V battery. It also features an auto-power-off mode to save energy.
- Display Method: Dual-sided, sequential LED lights (numbered 1 through 8 and "G" for Ground).
- Connect: Plug one end of your cable into the master unit and the other end into the remote unit.
- Power On: Turn the power switch to either ON (for fast testing) or S (for a slower, easy-to-read speed).
- Read Results: The LEDs on both units will light up sequentially from 1 to 8. If the sequence matches perfectly on both sides, your cable is crimped correctly.
